I am working as an Associate Professor and Chairman in the Department of Information & Communication Engineering at University College of Engineering & Technology, The Islamia University of Bahawalpur, Pakistan since 2007. I received the B.Sc. degree (with honor) in electrical engineering from the University of Engineering & Technology, Lahore, Pakistan in 2000, M.S. in telecommunication engineering from NWFP University of Engineering & Technology, Peshawar, Pakistan in 2008, and PhD in electrical engineering from King Fahd University of Petroleum & Minerals, Dhahran, Saudi Arabia in January, 2017. Before joining the Islamia University of Bahawalpur, I worked as Assistant Divisional Engineer in Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited from 2002 to 2007 and as System Engineer with Delta Indus Systems, Pakistan from 2000 to 2002. My research interests lie in Signal Processing and Communications particularly, image and video processing, image compression, machine learning, image forensics, and image quality assessment of distortions, enhancement, and inpainting, medical image processing, wireless sensor networks and smart grids. I have published around 40 journal articles and conference proceedings in these areas. I am also reviewer of many top rated conferences and journals in the related fields. I am senior member of IEEE and holding the position of Chair, IEEE Bahawalpur Sub-Section, Region 10. I am also Advisor of IEEE Signal Processing Society student chapter in U C E T - The Islamia University of Bahawalpur student branch. I was also co-founder Branch Counselor of the student branch U C E T - The Islamia University of Bahawalpur from 2010 to 2012.
